DC is set to introduce a fresh new version of Supergirl in the upcoming film Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, scheduled for release on June 26, 2026. Directed by Craig Gillespie, this movie will showcase a different, more complex side of Supergirl, making her distinct from her famous cousin, Superman.

A Tougher Supergirl Version

Unlike Superman, who was raised with love and care on Earth, Supergirl’s life was far more tragic. She spent most of her childhood on a broken Krypton, watching her loved ones die in front of her eyes before she eventually arrived on Earth. These traumatic experiences hardened her mentally, making her a ruthless and battle-hardened hero.

Inspired by Tom King’s Comic Run

This film is inspired by Tom King’s comic book run, which portrays Kara Zor-El as a warrior on a cosmic journey. The story explores her struggles, survival, and quest for justice, showing a side of Supergirl that hasn’t been explored deeply in live-action before.

Cast and What to Expect

Milly Alcock as Supergirl/Kara Zor-El

Jason Momoa as Lobo – The infamous intergalactic bounty hunter

With an intense storyline and deep emotional weight, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is set to deliver a powerful and unique superhero experience. This film is definitely going to be lit!

Who is Clayface?

Clayface is not just a single character but a name used by multiple villains in DC Comics. The most well-known version is Basil Karlo, a former actor who, after being exposed to mysterious chemicals, gains the ability to morph his body into any form. This allows him to impersonate people, shape-shift, and create deadly weapons from his own body.

Clayface in Live Action

Rumors suggest that Clayface might appear in The Batman – Part II, directed by Matt Reeves, but nothing has been officially confirmed. If true, this would be the first serious live-action adaptation of the character.  With his tragic backstory and monstrous abilities, Clayface is more than just a villain—he’s a tragic figure consumed by his own power.
